It’s not always gloom and doom and introspection around here.
I took the boys to the Ballarat Show on the weekend and this is what happened:
I just love the looks on their faces. And wish that I’d gone on the ride, too.
When we got home, this happened:
My big boy being silly in his Pokemon beanie and some flower clips.
And on Melbourne Cup Day this happened:
I went to the Melbourne Cup Luncheon for the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute and hob-nobbed it with all the dressed up ladies of Ballarat (excuse the loo roll). It was glorious to see so much colour all around me and I loved seeing everyone so dressed up, it’s the most sophisticated function I’ve been to in years.
Good things do happen around here, but my mood is so levelled down due to my meds, that they barely register on my emotional scale. I only have a photographic record of them.
I’ve been busy working with some local businesses, mentoring them in social media, websites and blogging and I really love this work. I love teaching people about the things that are fun for me. It’s the perfect work, really, and I am grateful for it. So, dear Universe, please bring me more of it.
I hope you enjoy this bit happy/good from me and I would love to hear about your good/happy from the last week.
’till next time!
That’s so good to hear. Your boys looked like they had a wonderful time. Nice that you could capture that moment to keep forever.
My highlight of the week was standing on the side of a mountain with my dogs cheering on some crazy runners – including my #2 son. When he passed us we joined in the crazy and pelted down after him. He looked back and the look of delight on his face was priceless.
Looks like you have all be having some good times. Keep taking the photos and use them to stop and take notice that you did have a good time. (I completely understand about the meds – just wish I thought to take pictures)
Lovely. Always good to share the good stuff 🙂
