I really couldn’t write about Moving It, without King Julien, could I?
I have to admit, I’m not really into exercise, but I love yoga and I’m proud that I can now run for at least 1 km without stopping. I’m proud that I can run 4 out of the 6 km around Lake Wendouree (with some walking in between). I feel good after I’ve exercised because I know I’m making my body stronger and I’m proud that I’ve made my body do stuff it didn’t think it could.
I learnt to run with Operation Move and now I’m going to learn about lifting weights with them, all without leaving my home and doing it all in my own sweet time with nobody watching.
It’s nearly a year since I did the Learn to Run program with them and I am still running. More than just their programs, Zoey and Katie have created an incredibly friendly and supportive community that makes you want to do their programs just to be a part of it. If it wasn’t for the support of the community, as well as the constant presence of Zoey and Katie in the Facebook Group for the program, I don’t think I would have made it. Indeed, part of me wanted to fail, just to prove to them that I could NOT run. But, well, I CAN.
I am very excited that they have gifted me the Move It program, as well as one to give away to one of you, my readers. It is a 6 week program, valued at $99 and includes a week by week exercise program as well as membership in a private Facebook group.
To enter, leave a comment below telling me why you need or want to Move It, Move It. And be creative, this is a game of skill.
The competition closes at midnight on Saturday, 26 July and the winner will be announced on Sunday, 27 July.
And here is some more King Julien, Moving It:
